Be Careful What You Wish For . . .

You know what they say . . . be careful what you wish for! But in this case, it was such a good thing . . . Weenie found a great home for Christmas! Through a Petfinder referral, I took Weenie (and Polly/Picasso and Barnaby) to meet a family in Canton yesterday. An 11-year old girl wanted a kitten for Christmas and she and her mother had looked at several kittens before meeting Weenie. It was difficult for her to decide which kitten she wanted - Polly and Picasso (sister and brother) are so beautiful with their striking black/white medium length fur and delicate faces (like little bookends), and Barnaby, the gray/white boy with the pretty pink nose is so curious . . . but it was little Weenie that captured Madelyn's heart! The family has two small dogs, and early reports indicate that everyone is getting along just fine - the dogs love Weenie and Weenie has found new friends in this canine couple - and Weenie had never seen a dog before! But being the fearless little man that he is, he's done very well and I'm certain that he will be very happy in his new home. Merry Christmas, Weenie and Madelyn, and many happy years together!
