Mopsy, Flopsy, Cottontail and Peter!

Easter is such a pretty holiday! Soft pastels of pink, blue, yellow, green, and lavender are used in so many decorative home accessories, including quilts. When I create a quilt, I often work in collections, and often use assorted coordinating fabrics from my plentiful stash. This quilt - Mopsy, Flopsy, Cottontail and Peter - was made using the beautiful selection of Beatrix Potter fabrics that hit the market a couple of years ago. I bought many pieces of this collection, some pieces were as long as four yards (that's a lot since I normally buy in 1 or 2 yards lengths), knowing that I would someday create a quilt to be sold during the Spring. And because I've only recently began to participate in vendor shows throughout north Georgia, I had not shown my wares at a Spring show, only Fall venues. But this year is different - I have four shows in April/May, and I just know that someone is going to see this sweet, little quilt and love it as much as I enjoyed making it. If you're a quilter, and can still find this collection of wonderful "Easter all over" fabrics, I suggest you buy as much as you can afford, and make yourself a sweet little quilt, too!
