Flower Vendor in Paris!
Every large city has an area devoted to the selling of flowers, plants and trees, and they usually call it the "flower district". In Paris, along the Seine River and near Notre Dame, they have these wonderful vendors that sell cut flowers and potted plants like the beautiful hydrangeas that you see above. Every color imaginable can be found at these sidewalk emporiums, along with assorted garden accessories and other gifty items. At one particularly festive spot, I came upon a women selling all types of orchids, and they were breathtaking. Mixed in with the orchids were stands filled with lovely postcards and greeting cards, all with a botanical theme. And after a brisk rain, the sun came out and everything looked fresh and new and it just made me happy to be alive and visiting Paris!
