North Georgia Shop Hop 2011

Six quilt shops in North Georgia are hosting their annual 'shop hop' this weekend - Thursday, Friday, Saturday - and have chosen to remember the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 as their theme - honoring Americans from all walks of life. Sew Memorable Quilt Shop in Dawsonville, my favorite place to shop for fabric and fun, is thanking men and women in law enforcement for their service to their communities, and their country. With the "law enforcement" theme in mind, they are playing up the "gumshoe" aspect of sniffing out crime, and doling out punishment. And as any good detective will tell you, you need good evidence to put the bad guys behind bars . . . so they've provided you with a "briefcase full of evidence". Stocked with patterns, books, fabric bundles, thread, rulers, yarn, and all kinds of wonderful quilting notions, you're sure to bring those crooks to justice with this wonderful prize. Jeanne Rish and her very persistent staff will stamp your 'shop hop' passport, give you clues to making that next great quilt, and hunt down the fabric that you've been searching everywhere for . . .
