Sunday mornings . . . and cherry tomatoes!

Sunday mornings . . . I love them! I can sleep a little later, until Jack, my sweet orange kitty, decides it's time for me to get up! It's a wonderful opportunity to relax with a good cup of coffee, read a new arts & crafts magazine saved just for weekend mornings, and navigate through my day at an easier pace! And my lavendar is in full-bloom right now, giving the outside patio a wonderful fragrance.

First, the house gets cleaned, bed linens and towels make their way through the laundry cycle, and during spring and summer months, the outdoor patios get swept and tidied! The bird feeder is filled for the daily visits from cardinals, bluebirds, and the occasional big, black crow! By early afternoon, I'm ready to pursue any hobbies or outdoor activities I might have planned, and before you know it, the day has just flown by . . .

Come Friday night, I'm already looking forward to another relaxing Sunday morning . . .

Cherry tomatoes! Are they the perfect tomato or what? Bite-sized, easily picked, beautiful color, and so portable! Instead of planting flowers in the front flower beds, I planted cherry tomatoes . . . I enjoy walking outside and grabbing a handful, washing them at the spicket and popping them in my mouth! They very seldom make it inside the house to a salad; I'm just too impatient . . . and I've also planted them in pots for the back patio . . . very close to the lavender and the grapevines and the geraniums, too.

We've had our share of rainstorms during the past several weeks, and everything is in full bloom.
