Four Seasons Quilt Shoppe - Please Hurry, Spring!

Is it just me or has if felt like Winter forever??? Born and raised in Florida, I'm a girl that likes her sunshine, and here in north Georgia, we're just not getting enough of that precious stuff these days. And once again, my mind wanders back to Paris, and how it was rainy and cold there when I visited last March . . . but all of the flower and plant nurseries were already hawking their wares to Parisians that needed a dose of color, too. Those French love their little indulgences . . . like wonderful food, beautiful flowers, and pastries and chocolates! On the weekends when they are strolling along the Seine, peering into the shops and restaurants, and buying little treasures to take home, almost everyone was also carrying some sort of plant or bouquet. A small spot of brilliant color to make themselves happy until Spring was actually in full bloom, and warmer weather was here for good.

My kitties are weary of the cold and rain, too. When it's warm outside, I let a few of them roam through the backyard, stretch on the patio, and watch the birds - up close and personal! And they know the difference between the work week and the weekends - their Mom takes her time making coffee, reading a favorite magazine, and as I get up for that second cup, they gather at the back door, just waiting for me to say ' Okay, guys, you wanna go outside?' They get so excited . . . but that first snow we had confused them. They ran out onto the patio, didn't understand what the crunchy, soft stuff was beneath their paws, and turned and ran right back into the house . . . so comical.

I'm ready for Spring - I think everyone is! I guess we have to endure another six weeks of winter, but it's always worth it - north Georgia has the most beautiful Spring!
