Holiday Marketplace 2008

The Holiday Shopping Season is in full swing! I participated as a vendor in Holiday Marketplace at the Gainesville (GA) Civic Center this weekend, and it was so much fun! Starting with Preview Night on Thursday, November 6, the Marketplace hosted special guests for an evening of food, shopping, and a live and silent auction. The Gainesville Times covered the event, and I was featured in the article on Friday with not only a quote, but a really great photo, too, of me finishing a quilted stocking, with my booth in the background. Needless to say, I was thrilled, and it was a great way to kick off two days of introducing my quilts to new customers! My mom knits beautiful scarves, and they were selling like hotcakes - a customer bought this colorful "knitted treasure" (pictured above) - doesn't she look fabulous!
