Sunflower Summer - Hot Off the Sewing Machine . . .
You know the story about the cobbler whose children had no shoes? Well . . . this often applies to quilters, too. Not that I don't have a lot of quilts - goodness, I do - but sometimes my own quilts take second place to customer quilts and when I've FINALLY finished one of my own, it's a pretty special day, let me tell you. I bought the above fabric from Jeanne @ Sew Memorable, in Dawsonville, GA, way back in early Spring (hey, Dixie also bought a ton of that beautiful black paisley fabric, too - it wasn't just me, I promise . . . ), and I knew right away that the "Anything Goes" pattern from "Take Two and Add a Few" by Atkinsons Designs was the ONLY quilt to complement these spectacular fabrics - I used the black paisley as the "background" and about 40 different golds and yellows. To really make this quilt sparkle, I added hand-dyed golden yellow velvet ribbon on the border seam, from Grograin Annie's at Lakewood 400 Antiques. Jo Ann Rogers has the most wonderful selection of hand-dyed velvets ribbons, and the prices are the best anywhere! And true to his nature, Little Jack had to road-test the quilt - he "helps" me make the bed each morning. All of the cats just love clean sheets and a new quilt - me, too! Enjoy!

You forgot to mention that all of your cats have hand-made quilts in their carriers. When I die, I want to come back as one of your cats!!!
I want to see the quilt!!!!
