The photo above is a pattern from Buggy Barn, those great gals that design the best patterns! "Happy Jacks" (better known as Crazy Jacks in their book), will be available for sale at the upcoming Crabapple Arts & Antiques show on Saturday, October 4, in Crabapple, GA. For those of you from other areas (that includes me . . . I just moved here in Fall 2006), Crabapple used to host this show for several years, then stopped for some reason. It was resurrected in 2007, and received such a warm "welcome back" that it's returning again this year, with wonderful one-of-a-kind art from a wide variety of designer/artists, and a great assortment of antiques vendors as well. Many of the vendors from Lakewood 400 Antiques will be at the Crabapple show.
"Happy Jacks" is just a work in progress at this point - I'm actually making TWO quilts; one for me to sell, and a second quilt for Sew Memorable Quilt Shop in Dawsonville, GA, where it will be displayed, and hopefully, available as a kit. The candy corn borders will be added - trust me, the borders "make" this quilt adorable - and then the quilt will be quilted using a beautiful pumpkin-colored "King Tut" thread from Superior Threads (http://www.superiorthreads.com/).
