Halloween is almost here!
Just two short days until Halloween! I've deliberately not purchased my Trick-or-Treat candy 'cause I usually pick-out all of the dark chocolate and gobble it down! I can't resist dark chocolate, but I did give up sweets/sodas/snacks on October 1st, and I'm happy to report that I've been very, very good! So . . . are you a good witch or a bad witch? This is a question my sister, Sheri, used to ask me jokingly when we were younger . . . I guess I'm a wanna-be bad witch, but tend to behave like a good witch - NO FUN! The row of pumpkins you see above will be carved tonight and candles set inside to cast a soft glow for the little trick-or-treaters when they arrive on Friday night! Last year, I was over zealous and out of candy before all the little monsters and ghouls came to the door, and I had to borrow candy from my neighbor. I just get so excited when they show up - I usually grab candy in both hands and just dump it in their little candy bags - I have to restrain myself this time, or I'll be beggin' John and Amber for more treats. And my kitties sit up in the window and watch the parade of pirates, scarecrows, vampires, fairy princesses, etc. and wonder "what the heck" are all these kids doing? Boo! Have a great Halloween, and don't forget to mark your calendar for next weekend - November 7 & 8 - for Holiday Marketplace at the Gainesville (GA) Civic Center. I'll be showcasing all of my Christmas quilts, plus a couple of Thanksgiving/Fall quilts that would be great as hostess gifts for the Big Feast! Happy Halloween!
